Weightloss Diet
Do you use a food diary? Using a food diary is a good place to start when deciding on a weight loss diet. It tells you what you are eating now so you can plan for more healthy choices. You will probably be surprised at how many calories you are actually eating.
Your weightloss diet should be flexible. You will want to change it as you determine how you are progressing. Trying to eat a 900 calorie diet for the rest of your life will not work!
Create some menus for yourself using foods you like - to a point. Try to eliminate the high-fat, high-sugar foods you may be used to eating.
Plan menus and snacks for your entire day, not only for your dinner meal. Eating five or six "smaller" meals will keep your blood sugars level and will help decrease that "I'm hungry" feeling.
And don't skip breakfast. That will cause your blood sugars to be even more out of balance and you'll overcompensate later in the day.
Track your results by using your food diary to show gains and losses in weight or by using one of the many food tracking sites on the Internet.
Your weight loss diet doesn't have to be depriving you of everything you love to eat...unless you only eat sugar and fat :)...but planning your meals will lead you on the road to successful weightloss.
